A Course in Miracles (ACIM) Students

A Course in Miracles

The Course is for leaving the illusionary ego to return to the truth of God. In that we find our way back to the peace of God.

As I have read the course, whenever it references the concepts we create to make the world seem real, I think of erroneous beliefs. The Option Method can be used to shine a light on those concepts or beliefs, to see if they are true or not.

If you are a student of ACIM and eager to "lift the veil" which separates us from what is real, consider contacting me to pursue a few Option Method sessions.

Below are some excerpts from A Course in Miracles, which reference the notion of questioning our concepts and beliefs:

"What is a concept but a thought to which its maker gives a meaning of his own? Concepts maintain the world. But they can not be used to demonstrate the world is real." -Chapter 31, Section V, ACIM

"Now must the Holy Spirit find a way to help you see this concept of the self must be undone, if any peace of mind is to be given you." -Chapter 31, Section V, ACIM

"Let us be glad that you will see what you believe, and that it has been given you to change what you believe." -Chapter 31, Section III, ACIM

"What is an idol? Nothing! It must be believed before it seems to come to life, and given power that it may be feared. Its life and power are its believer's gift, and this is what the miracle restores to what has life and power worthy of the gift of Heaven and eternal peace." -Chapter 29, Section VIII, ACIM

"When every concept has been raised to doubt and question, and been recognized as made on no assumptions that would stand the light, then is the truth left free to enter in its sanctuary, clean and free of guilt." -Chapter 31, Section V, ACIM

"Salvation is undoing. Undoing truth would be impossible. But concepts are not difficult to change. One vision, clearly seen, that does not fit the picture as it was perceived before will change the world for eyes that learn to see, because the concept of the self has changed." -Chapter 31, Section VI, ACIM

"And in these shrouded vaults are all his sins and yours preserved and kept in darkness, where they cannot be perceived as errors, which the light would surely show." -Chapter 31, Section V, ACIM

"Something must have gone before these concepts of the self." -Chapter 31, Section V, ACIM

"Loudly the ego tells you not to look inward, for if you do your eyes will light on sin, and God will strike you blind. This you believe, and so you do not look. Yet this is not the ego's hidden fear, nor yours who serve it. Loudly indeed the ego claims it is; too loudly and too often...What if you looked within and saw no sin? This "fearful" question is one the ego never asks." -Chapter 21, Section IV, ACIM
